Sports Day - 2023

    "Sports help the students to teach life skills such as teamwork, leadership, accountability, patience, and self-confidence and prepares them to face life challenges".         

    Dr G.S.K's 23rd Annual Sports Day was conducted on 29th January. A school sports day is a red-letter day on the calendar. It is a day when students are freed from the fetters of learning.

    The programme commenced with the prayer to invoke the blessings of the almighty. The Principal rendered a warm welcome to the spectators. The Chief guest,Mrs.N.S.Nisha,IPS officer, Mayiladuthurai district unfurled the National flag and the Principal and the Secondary Coordinator hoisted the Olympic and school flag respectively.

    After that ,a synchronized march past was organised by NCC, Scouts, guides and four houses. The Chief guest declared the Annual Sports meet.The Olympic torch was lit to kindle the passion of sporting spirit and to remove darkness and enlighten the world around. The oath was taken solemnly.

    The blooming GSK birds displayed their sports talents by participating in different track events and they showcased their talents by bashing the ground with full energy and enthusiasm.The annual sports report which filed the achievements of Dr. GSKians was articulated  by our students.

    To encourage the students for their industrious involvement in games and sports,prizes were given away by the dignitaries.

    Our Honorable Chairman sir and CEO sir shared their kind words of guidance and knowledge. As nothing is more honorable than a grateful heart, the vote of thanks was stated. The programme came to an end with the National anthem.
