Independence Day Celebration -2024

The Independence Day celebration at Dr. GSK Matric was marked by great fervor and enthusiasm. The program began with a solemn prayer, setting the tone for the event. Our Principal, Mr. Ganesan delivered a warm welcome address, followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest, Dr. Shivashankar, Superintendent of Police, Mayiladuthurai.

Dr. Shivashankar delivered an inspiring and motivating speech, sharing the memories of his alma mater, his experiences in NCC training, and the rigorous efforts during his police training. His words planted seeds of determination and persistence in the minds of the young audience.

Students presented speeches in Hindi and Tamil, highlighting the theme of patriotism. An English drama titled "The Spirit of Independence," performed by students from grades VII to XI, showcased their dedication to the tasks assigned. The event also featured a captivating patriotic dance performance by the beauty queens of grade IX and X.

The program was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. M.Ranjani, Incharge of IX and X grades, followed by the National Anthem, bringing the celebration to a close.
