Literary Club Inauguration - 2024

The inauguration ceremony of the Literary Club at Dr. GSK Matric was a remarkable event that celebrated the essence of language and literature. The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing enlightenment and knowledge. This was followed by a soulful prayer from the schools choir, the 'Cuckoo Girls,' setting a serene tone for the event.

Mrs. R. Suganthi, the Head of the Language Department, delivered a warm and engaging welcome address, highlighting the importance of literary endeavors. Principal Mr. P. Ganesan graciously felicitated the chief guest Mr.P.Jaganathan, CEO of Mayiladuthurai district and other dignitaries, marking a moment of honour and respect.

Celebrating Literary Day provided a platform for students to develop their language skills, foster creativity and critical thinking, build cultural awareness, and gain confidence in public speaking. The event also recognized literary talents, inspiring students to dive deeper into the world of literature and communication.

Students showcased their literary interests by presenting a series of programs in multiple languages, including English, Tamil, French, German, Hindi, and Sanskrit. Their enthusiastic participation reflected their dedication and passion for languages.

In his address, the chief guest appreciated the students for their fearless and impressive display of talents in front of a large gathering, commending their courage and engagement with literature.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mrs. R.Meenakshi, expressing gratitude to all involved. The program was brought to a close with the singing of the National Anthem, leaving a sense of pride and unity among the attendees.
