Margazhi Maha Utsav - 2024

     Dr. GSK Matric celebrated the cultural and spiritual richness of the sacred Margazhi month with a vibrant two-day Margazhi Utsav on 20th and 21st December 2024. The two-day celebration brought together students, teachers, and alumni in a harmonious blend of devotion and creativity, leaving a lasting impression of the spiritual and artistic essence of the Margazhi month.

Day 1 -  20th December 2024

     The first day of Margazhi Utsav began with an enthusiastic Welcome Address by Mr. S. Balasubramanian, setting the tone for the festivities. The celebrations commenced with a serene Invocation Dance by the students.

     The significance of the Margazhi month, or "Margazhi Month Magimai", was beautifully presented in Tamil, Hindi, and German, reflecting its universal appeal and spiritual essence.

     The event featured a Stick Dance by the students, a dynamic showcase of teamwork and rhythmic coordination. This was followed by a mesmerizing Instrumental Music performance by Dhanshika, Isha, and Janani, whose soulful melodies captivated the audience.

     Adding to the enchantment, the talented Mr. Stanley performed on the keyboard, leaving the audience spellbound. The festivities gained a harmonious note with a Group Song by teachers, led by Mrs. Jayachitra and her team, and another musical rendition by the Art Education teachers, adding a blend of creativity and tradition.

     The days highlight was an elegant Alumni Dance performance by Ms. Subhiksha, whose graceful movements brought a nostalgic charm, bridging the past and present.

     The first day concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Mrs. K. Porkodi, appreciating the efforts of everyone involved in making the celebration a grand success.

Day 2 -  21st December 2024

     The second day commenced with a warm Welcome Address by Ms. M. Ranjani, followed by another mesmerizing Invocation Dance by the students, creating a sacred and uplifting ambiance.

     A heartfelt Group Song by the students filled the air with devotion and joy. The event continued with a captivating Instrumental Music performance by Mr. Nelson, which added a cultural touch to the celebrations.

     The audience was then treated to a graceful Salangai Osai performance by Ms. Dharuni and Ms. Hanisha, showcasing the beauty of classical dance.

     The XII standard students enthralled the gathering with a lively fusion dance, blending tradition with modernity. Special Memorial School Programme further reflected the inclusivity and diversity of the festival.

     The Art Education teachers once again showcased their brilliance with Laya Sangamam, a symphony of rhythm and melody. The grand finale was a soul-stirring Music Concert by alumnus Swaminathan, whose exceptional talent left the audience in awe.

     The celebrations concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Mrs. P. Selvavathy, expressing gratitude to all contributors for making the event a memorable one.
