Swami Vivekananda Fancy Dress Competition

In celebration of Swami Vivekanandas profound legacy and his invaluable contributions to Indian philosophy, Dr. GSK Matric hosted a vibrant Swami Vivekananda Fancy Dress Competition on January 20, 2025. This event, designed to instill his ideals among young minds, saw enthusiastic participation from Pre-Primary students, who beautifully embodied the persona of the great visionary.

The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Mrs. R. Vijayalakshmi, In-Charge (LKG to Grade V), who emphasized the importance of Swami Vivekanandas teachings and the relevance of his ideals in shaping young minds. She highlighted how the competition was not merely about dressing up but also about imbibing the values of courage, self-discipline, and perseverance that Swami Vivekananda stood for.

Draped in saffron robes and traditional attire, the little participants confidently delivered powerful quotes and speeches, imitating Swami Vivekanandas voice, gestures, and eloquence. Their captivating performances reflected their deep admiration for the spiritual leader and brought his ideals to life.

The competition provided an excellent platform for students to develop their oratory, creativity, and self-confidence while also gaining insight into the philosophy of self-belief, fearlessness, and service to humanity that Swami Vivekananda advocated.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where students were awarded medals and certificates in recognition of their outstanding participation and effort. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mrs.Subhadra, who expressed gratitude to the school management, teachers, and parents for their support in making the event a grand success.
