German Day Celebration -2024 

      Dr. GSK Matric celebrated German Day with vibrant sessions and enriching interactions focusing on the value of learning additional languages.

     In the morning session, students highlighted the unique qualities of Dr. GSK Matric and showcased the architectural marvels of the Tanjore Temple. This was followed by an engaging workshop for students of Grades 4, 5, and 6, along with FIT 1, providing foundational insights into the German language.

     The evening session began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a prayer, followed by a welcome address by the Principal,Mr.P. Ganesan. Our dynamic CEO, Rotarian Murali Rao spoke passionately on the importance of acquiring languages beyond ones mother tongue, emphasizing Dr. GSK Matrics dedication to develop multilingualism.

     Mr. Balaji from Goethe Institute expressed his gratitude to the Dr. GSK Matric community for their warm hospitality and highlighted the lifelong value of language learning. Ms. Hemalatha from Goethe Institute commended the students enthusiasm and dedication to learn German.

     The event concluded with an inspiring wrap-up by five visiting German teachers from across Tamil Nadu, who expressed admiration for the staffs hospitality and the students keen aptitude for language learning. Mementos and thoughtful handicraft gifts made by the German teacher were presented to honour the guests contributions.

     The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mrs. Jone Linton, the schools German teacher, followed by the traditional Mangalam, concluding a memorable day celebrating linguistic diversity.
